Welcome to Baobab Therapy
Baobab Therapy is a Paediatric Therapy Practice offering Occupational Therapy, Early Intervention Specialists, Counselling and Therapy Assistant services. We look forward to working with your family and child to promote confidence and skills. We chose the name Baobab Therapy as it is a unique tree transplanted from Africa to Australia; like the founder of the practice Clare Edgecome and her daughter Nicola Stampa, the Managing Director. The tree provides shelter, nourishment and comfort, just like we strive to do at our practice. We provide sessions at our clinic located at 31 Trawool Street, Box Hill North and mobile therapy services to surrounding suburbs. Nicola Stampa is the Principal Therapist and Managing Director at Baobab Therapy. Nicola is qualified with a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and Masters of Occupational Therapy.
Nicola has completed a Professional’s Certificate in the ‘DIR Floortime’ model, as well as further training in the CPS model with Dr Ross Greene, the CO-OP approach for co-ordination challenges, ‘Social Thinking’, and Kim Barthel’s ‘Becoming A Behaviour Detective’. Nicola has also trained as a Teacher of Children’s Creative Dance & Yoga at Mangala Studios and so brings her passion for music, movement and creativity to her work as an Occupational Therapist.
